Deus, em Sua infinita misericórdia, não apenas nos criou, mas também se compromete a nos acompanhar em toda a nossa jornada.
Deus promete estar sempre conosco, o que nos faz sentir seguros e confortáveis. Mesmo quando a vida está cheia de incertezas, é reconfortante saber que Deus está ao nosso lado, não apenas nos observando de longe, mas se envolvendo de perto em cada parte da nossa vida.
Além disso, Deus mostra que se importa muito com as pessoas ao prometer dar a elas descanso. Num mundo cheio de correria e preocupações, o Senhor nos oferece um descanso que não é só para o corpo, mas também para a alma.
Podemos encontrar tranquilidade não apenas quando paramos um pouco, mas ao ter a certeza de que podemos descansar nos cuidados de Deus, confiando que Ele está no comando.
"Eu mesmo o acompanharei e lhe darei descanso." Indica uma companhia pessoal e constante de Deus.
Le's note lands on the two words that carry the chapter. Eu mesmo — I Myself. And the reason those words matter is what God had said a few verses earlier.
In Exodus 33:2–3, the offer on the table was different: "I will send My Angel before you... but I will not go up in your midst." The land would still be given. The journey would still be escorted. Israel would arrive. But God Himself would not come along.
A messenger instead of the Presence. An arrangement instead of a companion. And Moses refused it — "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here."
Eu mesmo o acompanharei is the answer to that refusal. Not an angel. Not an arrangement. Not supervision from a distance. God Himself. Le named it exactly: uma companhia pessoal e constante.
Three days ago, in the doorway of this apartment, Le heard "Home is where I am." The entry built that morning traced the sentence through Scripture, and the closing banner — the last words on the page — were Exodus 33:14.
Today the Devocional Diário handed her the same verse. She did not go looking for it. It arrived on its own schedule, three days later, in Portuguese, from a different source entirely.
It is not the first time this has happened in these pages. On July 23 she was singing a chosen generation, a royal priesthood before she opened the reading — and the next day Jowett opened that very chapter. The Spirit tends to say a thing more than once when it matters, and rarely by the route we expect.
Confie em Deus. Ele é um companheiro fiel em todas as situações.

The promise has two halves, and the second is easy to skip past. Eu mesmo o acompanharei — e lhe darei descanso.
Note what Moses was doing when he received it. He was not resting. He was leading a difficult people through a wilderness with no arrival in sight, and he had just finished an argument with God about whether the Presence would come at all. The rest was promised to a man in the middle of the work, not after it.
The devocional draws the same line: um descanso que não é só para o corpo, mas também para a alma. And it names where that rest is found — not merely in stopping, but ao ter a certeza de que podemos descansar nos cuidados de Deus. Rest is not the absence of load. It is the presence of Someone carrying it.
Twenty days remain in this apartment. The boxes will not rest. But the promise was never made to the circumstances. It was made to the person walking through them.

Exodus 33:14 closed the entry three days ago. Today the Devocional Diário handed it back, unsought, in another language. The Spirit says a thing more than once when it matters.
