The harsh word meets wrath with wrath — and the fire doubles. James 3: the tongue is a fire. A harsh word is a match in a forest. But the soft answer is water on the flame. It does not pretend the fire isn't burning. It puts it out — by refusing to add fuel.

Twelve days to August 20. The packing. The stress. The logistics. The farewells. Every transition produces friction — friction produces heat — heat produces words.
Solomon's wisdom for the pilgrim: the soft answer. Not because the stress isn't real. Because the harsh word will double the fire — and the soft answer will put it out.
What God requires in this season is not perfection. The soft answer. The response that chooses grace over reaction. The tongue that blesses instead of burns. The wisdom from above — gentle, peaceable, willing to yield.
And the strength? Deus não te deu medo — but power, love, and equilíbrio. The power to be gentle. The love to be kind. The equilíbrio to choose the soft word when the hard one is ready on the tongue. That is the power of Proverbs 15:1. 🙏
