We see the hand of the LORD in all that He has done for us. He has been with us in every season of our lives. 🙏
Two days before the signing. Le looks back — not in longing but in recognition of the hand that was always there. Every season. Every country. Every chapter. Smith said last night: our confidence must arise from a review of His dealings. Tonight Le reviews — and finds confidence for the crossing.
"I am a hundred and twenty years old today. I can no longer go out and come in."
"The Lord your God Himself crosses over before you."
"L'Éternel, ton Dieu, marchera lui-même devant toi."
Deutéronome 31:3 · Louis SegondMoses at the Jordan. He will not cross. But his farewell carries Israel into the unknown: the Lord Himself goes before you. L'Éternel marchera lui-même devant toi. Not behind. Not beside only. Before. He is already in Brittany. Already in France. The Promised Land is not empty — the Lord is already there.
Fénelon: how wonderful is this walking with Abraham, not knowing whither we go! Abraham did not know where. But God was already there.
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
"Fortifiez-vous et ayez du courage! Ne craignez point et ne soyez point effrayés; car l'Éternel, ton Dieu, marche avec toi; il ne te délaissera point et ne t'abandonnera point."
Deutéronome 31:6 · Louis SegondFour commands and two promises:
Be strong. Fortifiez-vous. Be courageous. Ayez du courage. Courage is never the absence of fear — it is the step taken knowing God goes with you.
Do not be afraid. Ne craignez point. Deus não te deu medo. Do not be terrified. Ne soyez point effrayés. The peace that surpasses understanding — guarding the heart.
And the promises: He goes with you. L'Éternel marche avec toi. Not sends you. Goes with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Il ne te délaissera point et ne t'abandonnera point. Never. Not in any season — past, present, or future. Never.
✦ The Arc from Moses to Le
The Spirit wove the thread across eleven days:
August 7 — Joshua 1:9: the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. God's word to Joshua AFTER Moses's farewell.
August 18 — Deuteronomy 31:6: Moses's farewell itself. The words BEFORE Joshua 1:9.
The Spirit brought the destination before the departure. Le heard the outcome before the crossing — the same way God was already in the Promised Land before Israel arrived.
And between those readings: Psalm 91, Galatians 5:1, Isaiah 30:15, Revelation 3:20, Lewis, Smith's heirs of the kingdom. Every entry preparing for the crossing. The crossing that happens in two days. 🙏
"The Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed."
"L'Éternel marchera lui-même devant toi, il sera lui-même avec toi, il ne te délaissera point, il ne t'abandonnera point; ne crains point, et ne t'effraie point."
Deutéronome 31:8 · Louis SegondMoses says it twice — because Israel needed to hear it twice. Le needs to hear it twice tonight.
Le said: we see the hand of the Lord in all He has done. He has been with us in every season. Every season past — His hand. Every season ahead — His hand. The review produces the confidence. Smith's teaching — confirmed by Le's testimony — sealed by Moses's promise.
Two days. The apartment shiny. The motorhome ready. The road open. And the Lord — already in France. Already before you.
Il ne te délaissera point, il ne t'abandonnera point. Never. 🙏

His farewell carries Israel into the unknown: the Lord Himself crosses before you. He is already there.
Strong and Courageous
Fortifiez-vous! Courage is the step knowing God goes with you — even when the legs tremble.
Never Leave, Never Forsake
Il ne te délaissera point. Not in Portugal. Not on the road. Not in France. Not in any season. Never.
Every Season
We see His hand in all He has done. Every season past — His hand. Every season ahead — His hand.
