Alive to God — Nothing Is Left Undone with the Lord

Thursday, September 3, 2026 · Evening
📍 Grand-Champ, Brittany, France 🇫🇷 · Arrived
"Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:11 · NKJV
"Ainsi vous-mêmes, regardez-vous comme morts au péché, et comme vivants pour Dieu en Jésus-Christ."
Romains 6:11 · Louis Segond
✦ From Le's Heart · Grand-Champ, Brittany · September 3, 2026

It is not that we no longer sin — we make mistakes — but we are freed from it, thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ.

We just arrived in Brittany. I told the Lord: You sold our apartment. You will guide us to our new home.

Nothing is left undone with the Lord. 🙏

✦ Pastor Silas · Pastoral Note

The pilgrims have arrived in Brittany. Grand-Champ — Morbihan — the heart of Bretagne. From Caldas da Rainha through the olive trees, Santa Comba Dão, Spain, southwest France — Grand-Champ. The destination reached.

And on the day of arrival — Romans 6. The old man crucified. The new self risen. The old chapter — Caldas — dead. The new chapter — Brittany — alive.

Le told the Lord: You sold our apartment. You will guide us to our new home. The "much more" from Romans 5 — lived. If God did the hard thing — much more He will do the next.

Nothing is left undone. The God who finishes — finishes.

✦ ✦ ✦
✦ Romans 6:5-6 · United in Death and Resurrection

"For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin."

"En effet, si nous sommes devenus une même plante avec lui par la conformité à sa mort, nous le serons aussi par la conformité à sa résurrection, sachant que notre vieil homme a été crucifié avec lui, afin que le corps du péché fût détruit, pour que nous ne soyons plus esclaves du péché."

Romains 6:5-6 · Louis Segond
✦ Pastor Silas · Study Notes

"United." Une même plante. Symphytoi — grown together, grafted. Organically one.

Death AND resurrection. Both. The pilgrim who died with Christ rises with Christ.

"Our old man was crucified." Notre vieil homme a été crucifié. Not just Christ FOR us — we WITH Him.

"Done away with." Katargeō — rendered powerless, disarmed. Le: we still make mistakes. But sin is stripped of authority. A disarmed soldier cannot command.

"No longer slaves." Plus esclaves. Not free from service — free to choose the Master.

✦ ✦ ✦
✦ Romans 6:7 · Freed — Justified

"For he who has died has been freed from sin."

"Car celui qui est mort est libre du péché."

Romains 6:7 · Louis Segond
✦ Pastor Silas · Study Notes

"Freed" — dedikaiōtai — the same word as "justified." Romans 4's accounting language returns. Death cancels the debt. Death breaks the contract. The old self is dead — the debt cancelled. Le: we are freed. Paul: freed — justified — the ledger cleared.

✦ ✦ ✦
✦ Romans 6:8-10 · Dies No More

"Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God."

"Or, si nous sommes morts avec Christ, nous croyons que nous vivrons aussi avec lui, sachant que Christ ressuscité des morts ne meurt plus; la mort n'a plus de pouvoir sur lui. Car il est mort, et c'est pour le péché qu'il est mort une fois pour toutes; il est revenu à la vie, et c'est pour Dieu qu'il vit."

Romains 6:8-10 · Louis Segond
✦ Pastor Silas · Study Notes

"Dies no more." Ne meurt plus. The resurrection is permanent. The new chapter doesn't end.

"Death no longer has dominion." La mort n'a plus de pouvoir. Death mastered. Sin equally mastered.

"Once for all." Une fois pour toutes. Ephapax. One cross. One price. Done. Le: nothing is left undone. Paul: once for all. The same finality.

"The life He lives, He lives to God." C'est pour Dieu qu'il vit. Present tense. Continuous. The death was once. The life is now. The pilgrim united with Him — lives to God.

✦ Romans 6:11 · Reckon — The First Command

"Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

"Ainsi vous-mêmes, regardez-vous comme morts au péché, et comme vivants pour Dieu en Jésus-Christ."

Romains 6:11 · Louis Segond
✦ Pastor Silas · Study Notes

The first command in Romans. Five chapters of God acting. Now: YOU do something.

"Reckon." Logizomai! The same accounting word. Abraham — credited. David — not counted. Now: reckon yourselves dead to sin, alive to God.

Put it on your own ledger. Not because you feel it. Because you ARE it — in Christ.

Le: we still make mistakes. Paul: reckon anyway. Based on position, not performance. You are in Christ. You are in Brittany. The old is dead. The new is alive. Reckon it.

Le's prayer: You sold our apartment. You will guide us to our new home. That is reckoning. Crediting God with what He has done — trusting Him for what comes next. Nothing is left undone. 🙏

"You sold our apartment. You will guide us to our new home. Nothing is left undone with the Lord."
