Today was a great miracle day.
We saw God's hand all the way! 🙏
Le's prayer from September 8 was answered today.
On the Route du Mont-Saint-Michel, nine days ago, she wrote: "One thing we pray: to see the hand of God at work in our lives. No greater joy than to see the hand of the Lord working on our behalf."
Nine days. The prayer and the answer — both in this journal.
And the chapter she happened to be reading today says the same thing in its own way: no other foundation can be laid, because it is already laid. And 1 Corinthians 2:9 from last night: a thing already prepared.
Yesterday Le wrote: sometimes God says No. And today — the Yes. In the ordinary hours of an ordinary day, the hand of God at work.
"For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

1 Corinthiens 3:9-11 · Louis Segond"That which is laid." Celui qui a été posé. Perfect passive — already down, and it stays down. Not a foundation to be laid. A foundation laid. Every builder since has only ever built on it.
Le — you do not have to establish anything. You build on what is already there.
"God's fellow workers." Ouvriers avec Dieu. Synergoi — the same root as Romans 8:28, where all things work together. The God who makes all things cooperate — lets us work alongside Him.
"Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire... If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire."

And notice what burns: wood, hay, straw — le bois, le foin, le chaume — the quick, the flammable, the impressive-looking. What survives: gold, silver, precious stones — the things forged slowly, under heat.
Le, September 2: tests are not meant to break you. They build strong character. Fire is not the enemy of gold. Fire is how gold proves it is gold.

In chapter 1 they were saying: "I am of Paul." "I am of Apollos." "I am of Cephas." Party spirit. Division. And Paul's answer is not merely stop choosing sides. It is far better:
"All things are yours — whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas." Tout est à vous. The whole thing flips. They thought they belonged to the teachers. Paul says the teachers belong to THEM. You are not Paul's — Paul is yours. Teachers are servants given to the church. Not parties to join.
And then the one belonging that runs the other way: "And you are Christ's." Et vous êtes à Christ.
Romans 14:8, six days ago on Sword Beach: "Whether we live or die, we are the Lord's." The same truth. A second book. Le has now been told it twice.
Everything belongs to you. And you belong to Him. The world, life, death, things present, things to come — all of it yours. 🙏

No other foundation can be laid — it is already down. Every builder since has only ever built on it.
Fire Tests the Work
Wood, hay and straw burn. Gold, silver and precious stones endure. And the worker is saved even when the work is not.
All Things Are Yours
Not "I am of Paul" — Paul is yours. The world, life, death, things to come. All yours. And you are Christ's.
